...& what would a trip to The Market be without a stop at Pike's Place Fish Market to see the local entertainment. The guys who work here literally "throw" the fish across the crowds & have a lot of fun with the tourists & market goers...notice the Monk Fish next to Keira? They have a stick in it's mouth so you can see its teeth & as you bend down to check it out, the guy behind the counter jerks on the rope tied to its tail & it startles everyone who isn't expecting it. Hilarious stuff!

This is outside the original Starbucks. Local entertainers, like this gospel group, are up & down the sidewalks entertaining everyone for tips. Keira liked jammin' with these guys...so did g'ma!

It was a gorgeous weekend in Seattle - perfect weather, giving you a beautiful view of Pueget Sound.

The Space Needle is a "must see" on your visit to Seattle...

...& we had a breath-taking view from the top of the Space Needle. We could see Mt Ranier perfectly; but unfortunately, you can't see it very well in my picture!

The original REI is also in Seattle. This store is home to the Pinnacle, one of the tallest freestanding indoor climbing walls in the world! If you look closely, you can seen Uncle Rick on his way to the top. There are several different climbs of varying degrees of difficulty - this was his warm up climb...

We rode the ferry a couple of times between Bremerton & Seattle - we can't believe how lucky we were with the weather - absolutely beautiful!
We drove way up into the mountains to Snoqualmie Falls, "Seattle's Best Waterfall." It was beautiful! We had lunch at a restaurant overlooking the falls, then took a little hike along the water's edge.
This may not be the best picture, but it proves we were there.
On the ride home, Keira decided to "let her hair down" (or "out" as the case may be!) She was a good sport about all the driving we did that day.
We also enjoyed the famous Underground Tour & the Seattle's Experience Music Project & Science Fiction Museum & Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, the pictures I took at these sites didn't turn out very well. Of course, a visit to the waterfront would not be complete without a stop at Ivar's for some yummy fish & chips...
Thanks for spending time with us Leah & Rick (& thanks to Jill & Kiff for putting up with us!) - we had a great time!

love Seattle, we did all the same things, loved Pike Place, and the space needle. Missed those falls though, that looks amazing. I love waterfalls.
i think it's so cool that so many of your family live far apart but you still get to see them so often! how fun!
My Mom is from Seattle and would take us to Ivars every single time we went back!
