I thought it was appropriate to dig through the archives & document this past decade...these are actually the Christmas Card pics we sent out & highlights of the years.
2000 - A cross country Church history tour (7000 miles in 10 days!), celebrated G'pa Middleton's retirement with a Mexican Cruise, our LAST family camping trip at New Brighton, Cindi graduates high school, Paul's parents' 50th anniversary cruise from Turkey to Athens, Las Vegas with Rochelle & Brent, our 1st grandson (Trevor) was born.
2001 - Ty's Eagle Court of Honor, family cruise to Mexico, TWO weddings ( Gina & Christian, Kyle & Amy), Paul's LAST Castillero Disneyland trip, Ben stationed in Albania with Marine Corps, Panama Cruise for Paul & Jenny, Ty graduates middle school, Leah graduates high school, Gina graduates BYU-Hawaii & Christian graduates BYU-Provo, (Paul, Jenny, Jill, & Leah) hiked Half-Dome, Jill called to Podova Italy.
2002 - Caribbean Cruise with Gina & Christian, Cindi finishes cosmotology (Dallas Roberts Academy), Tahitian Cruise for Paul & Jenny, family trip to Kauai (L,N, T,& Ty), our LAST Girls Camp, Cindi's wedding, TWO new grandsons (Ethan & Luke), Terri is Homecoming Princess, Jenny retires from GHS Spirit, trip to Bermuda for Paul & Jenny, Jill is reassigned to the Rome Italy Mission, Paul becomes a Certified Financial Planner.
2003 - Paul & Jenny to Maui, attended our LAST Cheerleading Nationals competition, a new granddaughter (Avery), went to pick up Jill from her mission & tour Italy, Nicole & Terri graduate high school, Middleton Family Reunion in Yosemite, Caribbean Cruise for Paul & Jenny, Mom attends her 30th High School Reunion (NHS's 50th), celebrated G'ma Lucy's 70th birthday in Las Vegas.
2004 - Paul surprised Jenny with a birthday weekend in Jamaica (Yah Mon!), TWO weddings (Jill & Kiff, Leah & Rick), trip to Canada for Paul & Jenny, family trip to New York (L, N, T, & Ty), a new granddaughter (Cori), Catalina with Gina & Christian.
2005 - THREE new grandchildren (Kenyon, Alana, & Cade), Kauai with Jill & Kiff, New York with Cindi & Jared, Jenny was honored as Teacher of the Year at Graystone, Ty graduates high school, our LAST Zion's Camp, Jill & Kiff graduate from BYU, trip to London & France for Paul & Jenny AND a Baltic Cruise, Jenny started piano lessons, Jenny & Disneyland turned 50 so we celebrated at the "happiest place on earth."
2006 - Family Reunion Cruise to the Caribbean, Jenny "retires" from teaching, sold Hyde Park & built the office apartment & the Riverhouse, Ty called to Londrina Brasil, Terri's wedding, THREE new grandchildren (Jake, Adison, & Macy), Alaskan Cruise for Paul & Jenny, San Diego with Jill & Kiff, Nicole & Terri graduate from Paul Mitchell the School. EVERYONE made it home for Christmas (except our missionary).
2007 - Leah & Rick graduate from BYU, Caribbean Cruise with Leah & Rick, South East Asian Cruise for Paul & Jenny, Mom & Leah took a girl's trip to New York with BYU, a new grandson (Jason), Italian Cruise for Paul & Jenny, Disney World for Paul & Jenny, EVERYONE made it home for Thanksgiving (except our misisonary - that's a cardboard cutout of him in this pic).
2008 - SIX new grandchildren! (Carson, Kaden, Keira, Olivia, Lucie, & Penelope), a trip to Cancun for Paul & Jenny, Grandmommy Carter passed away, Grandpa Sugar passed away, toured Ty's mission in Brasil then Ty headed off to BYU-Idaho, Paul's parents treated us to a trip to Israel, Jordon, & Egypt, through a surprise 75th birthday for G'ma Lucy (ALL the kids & grandkids made it, just missing a few spouses), EVERYONE made it to the Riverhouse for Christmas (including Ty!).
2009 - Atlantic Crossing Cruise (from Rio to Barcelona) for Paul & Jenny, Jenny attended Women's Conference at BYU with her girls, Seattle with Leah & Rick, a trip to Austria for Paul & Jenny, began our annual Camp Middleton Family Reunion, TWO new grandchildren (Lexi & Donovan), a Fall Colors Tour for Jenny (thanks to a business trip for Paul).

It is interesting to notice the pattern; weddings, babies, reunions, & travel - it's a recurring theme...I'm okay with that! It's been an eventful decade & so fun to pull out the photos to see how our family has grown!
So far, in 2010, we're having at least one wedding & expecting at least one baby & we do have at least one trip planned already; of course, it is early in this new decade!

Correction, I was not Homecoming princess. I was nominated for queen but thanks for reminding me that I didn't win! Haha. Can't wait to see all the changes for the next 10 years

Wow... I've been around a long time! Cute post. Can't wait to meet the next decades new additions to the family.
Awesome to see your family grow. Your blessings just keep on multiplying. You must have done something right. (Or wrong, depending on which day you look at :) Love your family and it was great to walk down memory lane with you.
