November's Aloha

Every other year, we try to hold a Middleton "Sibling" Reunion (Paul & his sisters) & we invite the parents.  Well, this year (Nov 2013) we decided to go to Maui...then Linda & Rex decided to go on a mission to Detroit, so they weren't able to join us...

...as we were getting ready to leave for Hawaii, Linda sent us this picture of her bundled up with her lei (freezing in Michigan) so we would think of her...

Later on in the week, Karen & I sent this picture to Linda so she would know that we were thinking of her...& maybe just to rub it in that we were a little warmer than she was...

Missing you Linda!

In all honesty, we did miss them, but we were happy knowing that they are serving the Lord & their experiences would bless & enrich their lives.

Our first stop when we arrived in Maui was dinner at Coconut's Cafe...best fish tacos EVER!

We enjoyed the beach...

Walked around Lahaina & looked in all the art galleries...

Ate shaved ice...

Some of us got tired of walking around Lahaina...(that does NOT look comfortable, DAD!)

Waited to eat at Cheeseburger in Paradise...

Enjoyed the sunset...

Endured a long but beautiful day on the Road to Hana...

Seven Sacred Pools of Hana
 Enjoyed a fancy luau...

Drove up the canyon to see the Ion Needle...

Ate at Lahaina Fish Company...

Attended a fabulous comedy/magic show at Warren & Annabelle's...

And before we knew it, the week was over!

I got to go to lunch with Mom & Karen before she headed home.  We ate at Opa's Authentic Greek Restaurant & did a little shopping in Downtown Campbell...

I am fortunate to be a part of this wonderful family.  Aloha...till our next sibling reunion in 2015.
