Family Discovery Day

Our ward hosted a Family Discovery Day/Emergency Prep Activity. We really packed it in & it was a total ward collaboration! We were very pleased with the event!

This was my contribution. Ben's T-shirt Quilt before I gave it to him (This event motivated me to get 'er done!), my Family Proclamation with our family photo border (gift from Cindi), the nine photo frame with Paul & Me & our parents & grandparents, plus all the little family history books I made...

We helped everyone update their profile pic on LDS Tools...

We encouraged everyone to do their DNA testing & showed the ways they are displayed...

People brought foods from their family heritage...

We have tons of HAM Radio experts in our stake for Emergencies...

One of the councilors in our Bishopric is a Fire Chief & he was there to demonstrate basic CPR...

We had an indexing demonstration/instruction...

The Power family demonstrated how to use Family Search in a Family Home Evening with the focus on engaging children...

And the primary provided cookies to decorate an ancestor...

We even had a little photo booth fun with old time dress ups which Katrine Kruger printed in black & white for fun...

Our Relief Society Presidency...don't we look like Pioneers?
