Here's a little February/March randomness...
Hayley Taylor got married...it was so much fun to see these long time camping buddies & their families! Ryna & Steve are such wonderful friends & have raised a great group of people! We even saw Ruth & Rod Davis at the reception - Hayley's husband, Curtis, was one of Ruth's seminary students!
SEW fun! Amy told me the girls were interested in learning to sew...SO we met for a few weeks & learned some skills! The girls did a great job on their skirts!
The Busaths stopped by for a visit on their way to a cousin's wedding. It was really fun to catch up with them! I look crazy because I had just finished working out & hadn't taken a shower yet...yikes!
Middleton's end of year Classical Conversations performance...the pix aren't great & I was too far away to get a pic of Kaden & Avery, but these kids do some amazing things throughout the year. It was fun to get a peak into what they are learning...
Adia's Speech & Debate team are very impressive! She has become an excellent public speaker!
Easter worship...Paul put together an amazing activity for the youth in our ward to celebrate Passion Week...
They walked around our property & read specific scriptures that highlighted Christ ministry during his last week of life; His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, cursing the fig tree, cleansing the temple, His teachings on faith, the last supper, Gethsemane, his trials & ordered execution, the crucifixion, His resurrection...it was a vivid reminder that He lives & loves us still!
I get to work with the Young Women in our ward. We had a great activity where we "let go of our burdens & looked to the Lord" for strength. These girls are amazing & love & support each other so very well, it warms my heart & encourages me that our future is in great hands with these youth! We wrote down our "burdens" on these little tags, tied them to the balloons, & symbolically gave them to the Lord by releasing them to the heavens...
"The unique burdens in each of our lives help us to rely upon the merits, mercy, & grace of the Holy Messiah." Elder David A. Bednar
