After a hearty breakfast, we headed for Cape Flattery Trail. It is the western most point of the contiguous United States...that's a fancy way of saying that it's a far west as you can go on the continental US! (excluding Alaska & Hawaii) It was another beautiful hike to the point - but the point???
...the point was breathtaking!!!
Our next stop was Shi Shi Beach (pronounced "shy shy") - I was very impressed with what great hikers these Holysmokes critters are! Not one complaint! We got rained on & we were wet & muddy, but the kids kept plugging along! And the destination? Just glorious!!!
I'm pretty sure we all felt like this after dinner on the ride home...but such a great weekend exploring with grandkids! Thanks for such a gift, Jill & Kiff!
